However, for the public, the film fell short of what David Fincher has accustomed us to. For example, in one of the several criticism from internet users present on Rottern Tomatoes, “David Fincher intended to create a minimalist and dramatic thriller, but he failed to achieve his goal. The story is too repetitive and lacks interest. Furthermore, the revenge plot in “The Killer” feels old and mundane.” Despite being far from some of his best films, “The Killer” is an interesting film for those in the mood, with an excellent performance by Michael Fassbender.

From one minute to the next, Ortgon’s life turns into a nightmare of persecutions and attacks on his life, which he believes is a Machiavellian scheme to ruin him.”

For Kevine Maher, from TEAMS (UK), the film “is stunning, with all the dark scenes seemingly dipped in paint and some quick editing balanced by more experimental touches.”

9) MANK (2020)

With Gary Oldman any director is closer to success. The British actor plays Herman J. Mankiewicz, responsible for the script for one of the best films in cinema history, “Citizen Kane”. “What’s in the box?!” A phrase that remained in the history of cinema and a film that should be on every list of the best films of the seventh art.
