Samsung’s Galaxy A54 5G was perhaps one of the best mid-range smartphones you could buy in 2023. Even now, it remains a great bet. However, you may want to wait for the Galaxy A55 5G if you want to buy a mid-range Samsung that is really a machine.

Galaxy A55 5G: the great mid-range of 2024 has been found!

Last month, we saw our first glimpse of the Galaxy A55 thanks to a leak that showed some renders. Now, we have some more images of the phone, thanks to Android Headlines. This new leak offers us a look at the different colors of the Galaxy A55.

The Galaxy A55 is very similar to its predecessor. So you bet on the same emblematic finishes. However, leaks show that Samsung will introduce its new “Key Island” design to the phone this year. It’s nothing special. In practice, it is just a raised platform for the volume and power buttons. This is the same design element that Samsung recently debuted on the Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A25 5G. Samsung claims that Key Island creates a firmer, more comfortable grip.

The Galaxy A55 is expected to come in Awesome Iceblue, Awesome Lilac, and Awesome Navy color options. That is, Blue, Lilac and darker Blue. The renderings also show antenna lines on the side of the structure, suggesting a metal construction.

The Galaxy A55 will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1480 processor. The new chipset is expected to be a 4nm solution with four high-performance CPU cores clocked at 2.75GHz and four efficiency cores at 2.05GHz. The processor is associated with the Xclipse 530 graphics, a custom GPU that Samsung developed together with AMD.

Samsung will ship the Galaxy A55 in an 8GB RAM variant, likely with 256GB of storage. There may be more storage configurations, however. The device will run Android 14 with One UI 6.1 on top. The rest of the specifications, including the camera, screen and battery details, are still under wraps.
