Finally, users will think! Gmail is preparing to incorporate one of the tools that is most needed.
O Gmail is, unquestionably, one of the best services e-mail. This year it celebrates two decades of existence and, from an early age, it became the most used in the world. It stands out, above all, for its large space for storageadvanced filters and organization by labels, simplifying the search for specific emails.
Furthermore, its ability to integrate with other tools such as Google Drive or the Google Photos there are obvious added values. Still, it’s far from perfect, especially when it comes to the smartphone app. However, now good news arrives. This is because one of the most obvious – and even surprising – flaws is finally being corrected!
We are talking about the absence of an option “Select all“. This situation means that users have to undergo the time-consuming and tedious task of manually selecting each email they want to delete, archive or recategorize. However, this will change soon!
HOW WILL IT WORK?
In November, the first indication emerged that Google was working on this new functionalityas reported by the TheSpAndroid. Now the Android Police investigated and reveals that, on all devices tested, including several Google accounts and different versions of the Gmail application (namely, 2023.11.12.586837719 and 2023.11.26.586591930), the new “Select all” functionality was actually available.
So, just press and hold an email for a few seconds or tap the sender’s avatar on the left. Then, the new “Select all” option will appear at the top of the list of different categories: Inbox, sent, deleted, etc. However, there is one particular thing to take into account.
