Inevitable: Tesla Cybertruck has already had an accident on public roads!

Having said all this, the first Cybertruck accident happened on December 28th in California, against a Toyota Corolla. What happened?

It is important to note since the driver of the Tesla Cybertruck received only minor injuries and did not need to be transported to the hospital while the passengers were unharmed. Just like the driver of the Toyota Corolla who, despite being driven off the road by the impact, was also unharmed by the collision.

With so much technology, it is normal for photos of everything that happened to end up on the internet. In this way, it is possible to see that it was a side clash between the Corolla and the Cybertruck, due to the marks on the side of this 100% electric pickup. Something that was capable of triggering the side airbag curtain in the Cybertruck.

Having said all this, what is important to highlight is that while the Tesla vehicle only has minor damage, the Toyota Corolla is in much worse condition.

Is Tesla Cybertruck repairable after such a collision?

There is still no further information on the final state of the damage caused by this clash, nor on repair information. However, the truth is that the entire process should take some time.

Know that according to Elon Musk, the Cybertruck is the company’s “safest offering per kilometer”, due to an even lower center of gravity.

However, read this information with a grain of salt. In truth, critics have already highlighted that this offer may be far from being the safest ever. This is due to the lack of sufficient deformation zones to cushion the impact.

In short, the lack of these areas makes the Cybertruck a truly impact-resistant vehicle, but this is not always positive for passengers. Because with fewer deformation zones created, the impact is “drier” and transmits more directly to those inside the model.
