Like any other industry, gaming blesses its fanbase with products and games every year. 2022 has been especially good for players because of the outstanding games released. Here’s a list of some great games you need to play.
1. Dying Light 2: Stay Human
From the same company that developed Dying Light, Techland, Dying Light 2 is a sequel to the original. The game has lived up to the hype. You play as Aiden Caldwell, who wanders from place to place. You have the ability of parkour to escape and weapons to fight zombies. Paragliders are now also a thing to scale large distances. Driven by the player’s choices, the game has multiple endings and a deep story. However, the game is not set in Harran, the original city of the breakout.
2. Elden Ring
If you liked the Dark Souls series, you’re bound to love this game because the same developers worked on it and received it well. You play as maidens tarnished in the Lands Between after you’ve been called. With extensive and profound lore, you can have multiple endings. As you fight your way through difficult enemies right off the bat, you can also make some allies on the way. This game has character customization to make your desired character with several classes and skills.
3. Sifu
A single-player action, a moderate-paced game where you beat enemies up with your limbs and weapons, developed by SloClap. This game is set in modern China, and you, as the player, seek revenge on those who killed your father. This game is not easy, but it’s fun. Every time you die in-game, your character ages, and there’s a limit to how much your character can age before you have to restart the level.
4. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a character in a DnD game? Well, this game is pretty much that. In this game developed by Gearbox Software, you play as a board character, but this is a first-person shooter game with many comedic turns. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is a fun game that will help you relax and unwind. The players have rated this game quite highly.
5. Ghostwire: Tokyo
Tango Gameworks, the developer, and Bethesda Software, the publisher, worked together to bring you this masterpiece, in which you play a young Japanese boy, Akito, in Tokyo, who finds himself in an accident and later discovers ghastly beings around him, which have hostile intentions. You also realize there’s another being taking over you, which decides to help you in a pinch, giving you superpowers. Your grand goal is to save your sister from the ones who caused this disaster, Hannya, and his allies, as they also took away your sister. This game is story-driven and has an open-world aspect, along with leveling skills and the like.Β
Make sure to try all these games out, as they deserve their spots on this list!
