News about the live-action Naruto

Announced in 2015 by Lionsgate, we haven’t had any news about the live-action film by narutobut Variety has now revealed that not only is the film still in development, it could also arrive sooner than many anime fans initially suspected.

Recently, One Piece with its adaptation into a live-action series on Netflix managed to show that these projects can be a success, thus countering some disasters such as the live-action Dragon Ball, Ghost in The Shell, Attack on Titan, Avatar: The Last Airbender and Death Note. Thanks to the live-action debut of One Piecemore anime adaptations may be greenlit in the future for live-action and it looks like the live-action film naruto from the Lionsgate may be coming soon.

In a recent interview with Varietythe screenwriter of the live-action film by naruto, Tasha Huorevealed that his next project Naruto live-action at Lionsgate. Huo wrote the screenplay for the film live-actiob Red Sonjaas well as for the upcoming animated series from tomb Raider at Netflix. While this update doesn’t confirm a release date and/or any casting news, it does suggest that the film will naruto is still ongoing.

In the interview, Huo stated that when it came to discussing adaptations of large properties:

Adapting iconic characters or IP makes writing easier, because the passion for writing it is already there. I’m already so inspired by these characters that it’s exciting to just be a part of their journey and try to tell this fun story in a way that appeals to me as a fan.
