Samsung phones on this list are entitled to camera improvements

Some Samsung smartphones are equipped with a system that ensures improvements to the camera. This is thanks to something called Samsung Assistant. In practice, it allows you to adjust the behavior of some of the features of the standard camera application. For example, Galaxy phones that have dedicated zoom cameras tend to use the main camera’s digital zoom in difficult lighting conditions, as telephoto lenses tend to have smaller apertures. However, with the camera assistant you can force the cell phone to always use the zoom lens, regardless of the darkness.

You can also customize aspects such as the number of photos taken when using the timer function, how long the camera app should remain open without any user intervention, whether the camera app should automatically take HDR photos when it detects lighting conditions. required and the degree to which photographs are softened after they are taken.

On some high-end Galaxy smartphones, Camera Assistant can add additional features such as a 2x zoom option for Portrait mode and a regular 2x zoom option that uses on-sensor cropping instead of digital zoom to take photos 2x higher quality. Last but not least, there are features such as distortion correction and the option to make the camera prioritize focusing on the scene over capture speed (and vice versa).
