Sara Tavares was born in February 1978, in Lisbon, and became known after participating in the program “Chuva de Estrelas”, a SIC talent contest, which she ended up winning. At the time, the artist performed a theme from Whitney Houston and managed to win the hearts of thousands of Portuguese people with her sweet voice.
Later, the singer would be invited to participate in the Song Festival, an invitation that came from Rosa Lobato Fariaauthor of the song Call the Music, a theme that would give Sara star status. In the competition, the singer obtained the maximum score and went on to represent Portugal at Eurovision, which took place in Dublin.
With a sweet and delicate voice, the Disney would even make an honorable mention to the singer when she performed the theme Far from the Worldfrom “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”, considered the best international version.
