Steven Spielberg keeps you company at AMC this New Year’s Eve

The AMC channel has a packed New Year’s weekend, highlighting the talent of one of today’s most award-winning directors, Steven Spielberg!

The last weekend of the year promises many perks for film fans, with the screening of some of the greatest works of international cinema, with great emphasis on Steven Spielberg’s great classics (“The Fabelmans“), but also a set of projects of different genres, which include dramas, romances and lots of action.

With New Year’s Eve just around the corner, there’s no better way to celebrate than spending a relaxed evening in the comfort of your sofa in the company of a great film. It was with this in mind that the AMC channel collected one of the best content grids of the year, get to know it.

NOTTING HILL

There is no escaping the romance with the arrival of “Notting Hill“, the film features the participation of Julia Roberts (“Pretty Woman: A Woman’s Dream“) It is Hugh Grant (“Wonka“) and reveals the love story between a famous film actress and a bookseller specializing in travel guides who cross paths in the vibrant community of Notting Hill and can’t help but think about each other. The film arrives on the channel’s antenna at 4:40 pm on December 30th.



THE EXPENDABLES 2 & 3

Sylvester Stallone (“Creed: Rocky’s Legacy“) It is Jason Statham (“Fast Furious“) rejoin the group of mercenaries for two unmissable missions, full of action, humor and lots of blood. Made by Simon West (“Lara Croft: Tomb Raider“) It is Patrick Hughes (“The Man from Toronto“), “The Expendables” 2 and 3 are scheduled to be shown on December 30th, starting at 10:10 pm.



ET THE EXTRATERRESTRIAL

One of Steven Spielberg’s most acclaimed works (“Schindler’s List“), O “ET The Extraterrestrial” promises to captivate both adults and children with its memorable story of friendship between a group of children and a creature from the furthest corners of space. The film features the participation of Henry Thomas (“The Haunting of Hill House“), Peter Coyote (“Closer to You“) and Drew Barrymore (“Charlie’s Angels“), among many others. “ET The Extraterrestrial” is scheduled to be shown on December 31st, at 5:15 pm.



MIAMI VICE

After “Heat – City Under Pressure” and before “Ferrari“, Michael Mann (“Le Mans ’66: The Duel“) brought us his adaptation of the classic 80s action series with this “Miami Vice”, a film that reveals the violent world of drug trafficking with Colin Farrell (“The Spirits of Inisherin“) It is Jamie Foxx (“Django Unchained“) in the main roles. The feature film is scheduled to be shown on December 31st, at 10:10 pm.



THE SHARK

Starring Roy Scheider (“Punisher – The Avenger“), Robert Shaw (“007 – Order to Kill“), Lorraine Gary (“I Never Promised You a Rose Garden“) It is Richard Dreyfuss (“The Way They Want“), this is another Steven Spielberg classic (“Saving Private Ryan“) to be present this long weekend, “The Shark” promises to arrive at AMC telling the story of a small North American coastal village terrorized by the appearance of a hungry great white shark. The film is scheduled to be shown on the first evening of the year, January 1st, at 6:15 pm. Afterwards you can watch “Jaws 2“, which includes the realization of Jeannot Szwarc (“Grey’s Anatomy“).



COLOMBIANA

Zoe Saldana (“Avatar: The Path of Water“) opens doors to action with “Colombian“, an incredible film filled with adrenaline that puts the popular actress of “Guardians of the Galaxy” as a professional assassin who seeks revenge for the murder of her parents. The film features Olivier Megaton (“Taken 3“) and is scheduled to be shown on January 1st, at 10:10 pm.
