The second season of the anime series adaptation of the manga Mashle (Mashle: Magic and Muscles) by Hajime Koumoto will premiere on January 6, 2024.

With animation by the studio A-1 Pictures (Lycoris Recoil, 86: Eighty-Six, Sword Art Online, Magi), directed by Tomoya Tanaka (Engage Kiss), the script is by Yousuke Kuroda (Boku no Hero Academia) and the character design is by Hisashi Toujima (Sword Art Online: Progressive). Music is the responsibility of Masaru Yokoyama (To Ashi).

To everyone else in his magic-dominated world, the young and powerless Mash Vandead is a threat to the gene pool and must be purged. Living secretly in the forest, he spends every day training his body, building muscles strong enough to compete with magic itself. However, finding his identity exposed and his peaceful life threatened, Mash begins his journey to become a “divine seer,” a role so powerful that society will have no choice but to accept his existence.

So, to maintain her peaceful life, magic-free Mash enrolls at the prestigious Easton Magic Academy, competing with the children of some of the kingdom’s most powerful and elite. Without the magic skill needed to survive in Easton, Mash already appears to be at a disadvantage against her classmates. To achieve his goals, Mash will have to fight through each trial using only his fists, overcoming magic with his muscles, all for the illustrious title of Divine Visionary!
