Synopsis of Blue Period

Yatora is a perfect high school student with good grades and many friends. It’s an effortless performance and ultimately… a dull one. But he wanders into the art room one day, and a lone painting catches his eye, awakening him to a kind of beauty he’s never known. Compelled and consumed, he dives in head first – and is about to learn how wild and unforgiving art can be!

The animation for the anime adaptation was handed over to the studio Seven Arcs Pictures (Basilisk: The Ouka Ninja Scrolls), the chief director is Koji Masunari (Kamichu!, Kokoro Toshokan, Saber Marionette R), directed by Katsuya Asano (Yu☆Gi☆Oh! VRAINS), the argument is Reiko Yoshida (Arte, Girls und Panzer, High School Fleet, K-On!) and the character design is by Tomoyuki Shitaya (Bakuman, Hatsukoi Limited, Kiss x Sis, Oshi ga Budoukan Ittekuretara Shinu).
