Chainsaw Man director creates animation studio

The director Ryū Nakayama (Black Clover, episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen) who directed the first season of Chainsaw Manannounced that he created the Andraftan animation studio that is now recruiting animators, directors, technical directors and producers.

In the recruitment post Andraft reveals that it is looking for workers for a three-month trial period, with possible promotion to regular employee status later. Salary depends on experience and skills, but the Andraft offers an approximate salary of 350,000 yen ($2,400) per month for an experienced worker, with up to 20 hours of overtime already factored into that salary amount.

A Andraft has an office in the Ogikubo neighborhood in western Tokyo (close to other anime companies), but remote work is permitted for those who live far away. The daily schedule follows flextime, although employees must work a certain core schedule. Previous industry experience is not necessary, as Andraft says it values ​​those who have a passion for creativity.

The first work of Andraft is the promotional video that you can see above the collaboration between VSPO! It is Cardfight!! Vanguard. Nakayama stated that he was the director, storyboarder and animation producer of the video.

Nakayama debuted as the main director of an anime in 2022 with Chainsaw Man. Prior to that, he worked as an animator and animation director on several anime projects, starting with the main animation of Tantei Opera Milky Holmes in 2010. He served as animation director on episodes of Wake Up, Girls!, Barakamon, Yatterman Night, Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale, Gamers!, Black Clover, Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia and Jujutsu Kaisen .
