This is an unavoidable issue. If some time passes and clothes are forgotten in the damp washing machine, they will end up smelling musty. Of course, this is something that no one likes. Especially because we will have to wash it again and in some cases the clothes still have some smell.

Washing machine: this rule prevents you from washing clothes again!

However, there is a rule that prevents clothes from being washed again. So the magic number is between 8 and 12 o’clock.

The truth is that washing machines are dark, damp and hot. In other words, they are the perfect paradise for bacteria to grow. So if you let more than 8 or 12 hours pass, in some cases, you will end up with smelly clothes.

Many people don’t know this but the truth is that bacteria and even visible mold can grow on clothes in just 24 to 48 hours. When left unwashed, clothes create that distinct smelly smell we all recognize.

If you are unsure about how long the dishes have been in the dishwasher, the best way is to use your nose. Since the musty smell settles in around eight hours, if it has this characteristic odor you already know how long it has been there.

However, when washing again, you do not have to use a hot program. This is to save something. Therefore, use a low temperature program.
