Episode 17 of the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen was released last Thursday (16) and received praise from fans of the series. However, Enrico Nobili, an Italian animator involved in the production, revealed that the episode was not completed as originally planned due to time constraints.

Nobili used his account on X (Twitter) to share details about the production of the episode in question, the original posts of which were later removed. Prints of the deleted messages corroborate his claim that only 30% of the initial vision for the episode was realized. He expressed the wish that the team had more time to complete the episode and also pointed out his frustration due to the errors present in the animation shown.
From the beginning of the arc “The Shibuya Incident” in the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen on August 31, members of the production team have been reporting problems related to strict schedules imposed by animation studio MAPPA (Chainsaw Man). In October, the director of episode 14 of the season, Hokuto Sadamoto, took to social media to apologize due to visual quality perceived as inferior compared to previous episodes. To date, MAPPA has not issued any public statement regarding the issues highlighted by the animation team.
The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen is being broadcast simultaneously on Crunchyroll, with dubbing options and subtitles in Portuguese.
