Netflix receives The Gentlemen, series based on the film by Guy Ritchie

A series based on the world created by Guy Ritchie, “The Gentlemen”, is on its way to Netflix, where it has already received its first teaser.

In 2019, the film “The Gentlemen” premiered, a film that mixes action and comedy directed, produced and co-written, alongside Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davies, by Guy Ritchie.

The plot of this film followed an American who owns a huge cannabis business in England and plans to sell his business. This decision makes several criminals come to the surface to take over the business, but that doesn’t mean they want to pay for it. Many schemes are created to harm you.

Guy Ritchie chose a luxury cast for this film with Matthew McConaughey (“Interstellar”, “The Dallas Club”), Charlie Hunnam (“Sons of Anarchy”, “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword”, “Rebel Moon – Part One: The Fire Girl”), Henry Golding (“Crazy Rich Asians”, “Last Christmas”), Michelle Dockery (“Downton Abbey”, “Defending Jacob”), Jeremy Strong (“The Chicago 7”, “Succession”), Eddie Marsan (“Snow White and the Huntsman”, “Firebrand”, “Back to Black”), Colin Farrell (“The Lobster,” “TheBatman”, “The Spirits of Inisherin”) and Hugh Grant (“The Big Deal”, “Notting Hill”, “Wonka”).



Now there is a spin-off series set in the same universe that will be available on Netflix in March. In this one, we follow the story of Eddie Horniman who has just inherited a country estate from his father and discovers the clandestine cannabis empire he had . From there, Eddie will meet some unpleasant characters who want the empire for themselves.

Guy Ritchie appears as creator, co-writer and executive producer of the series, in addition to having directed the first two episodes of the series.
