Especially in the UCAN region, this group aged 16 to 24 represents 47% of the public; followed by those between 25 and 34 with 37%. The exception is the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region where the main age group that consumes animations are adults between 25 and 34 years old, with 32%.
It is also interesting to note that the 55+ audience continues to be a significant part of those who consume animated series, being represented by 26% in Latin America and 16% of people interviewed in the APAC region. In this last region, anime is a separate category and represents a total of 11% of this age group.

Gonzalo Martins, media analyst at BB Media and author of this report, was able to verify that it is wrong to continue considering animations as a product exclusively for children, as this thinking ignores the potential market to be explored:
“It is important, therefore, to abandon the obsolete image of the animation genre as something exclusive to children, as it limits the possibility of enjoying the product of a historically rich discipline and, at the same time, ignores the potential market to be explored with this type of animation. of content.”
