Having wireless controls on modern consoles, which are almost always light and comfortable, is obviously incredible compared to the times of thick, boring wires, which made it impossible for us to move too far away from the console, and as a consequence of that, from the television itself.

However, it also has a very negative aspect… Battery life! Well, in the case of the PlayStation 5, everything indicates that Sony is already developing a new version of the Dualsense in which the focus is nothing less than battery life.

Therefore, throughout the life cycle of a console, it is not just the external appearance, or even the interior design, to make it lighter, smaller, and cheaper to produce. The development extends to the peripherals, more specifically to the ever so important command.

Having said all this, if you are tired of spending your life charging your DualSense controller, or are often forced to connect the controller to a USB-C cable to continue playing, we have news for you!

Sony is working on a DualSense V2, which appears to have the same features and functionality as the controller that is already on sale and accompanies the current PS5 consoles on the shelves.

However, now with 12 hours of autonomy.

12 hours of battery life? It’s that good!

Well, yes! To give you an idea, the current DualSense controller can only last between 5~6 hours of use. Furthermore, in terms of charging, it will only reach 100% after 3 hours connected to the charger.

Having said all this, to sweeten the new controller, Sony wants to include a DualSense charging station, at the same price as the current controller.

The question that arises is… Are you going to buy the new remote? Which should cost between €70 and €80, or will you stick with the old one? Or rather… Will the old remote control become cheaper while stock still exists? Share your opinion with us in the comments box below.
