Season 2 of Blue Eye Samurai announced

On your twitter Netflix has just announced that a second season of Blue Eye Samurai. The series premiered on November 3rd on that streaming platform, receiving big compliments and just over 1 month after its premiere, the streaming service announced its second season.

Although the release date or more details about Blue Eye Samurai 2 have not yet been announced, the Netflix has posted a special announcement trailer online that you can see above.

In the official statement about Blue Eye Samurai 2 the executive producers Amber Noizumi It is Michael Green stated:

When we started this project, we made a commitment to take this very personal story set in Edo period Japan and bring it to life in the most authentic and beautiful way possible. Our animators, historians, musicians, martial artists and voice actors made this a reality beyond our expectations

We are grateful to our entire team and our viewers around the world who have shown so much passion for Mizu and her path of revenge. Mizu has a lot more blood to spill! We are deeply grateful to our incredible partners at Netflix for allowing the journey to continue.

Created with the help of the writer Michael Greenwho fans know as the writer of Logan It is Blade Runner 2049the animated series Blue Eye Samurai follows the story of a samurai from Edo period Japan who is looking for revenge. Blue Eye Samurai has a history of responsibility for Michael Green It is Amber Noizumiand direction of Jane Wu (live-action Mulan). A Blue Spirit is the studio responsible for animation.

In the description of Blue Eye Samurai we can read:

The voice cast includes Maya Erskine, George Takei, Masi Oka, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Brenda Song, Darren Barnet, Randall Park and Kenneth Branagh. The supporting voice cast includes Stephanie Hsu, Ming-Na Wen, Harry Shum Jr. and Mark Dacascos, among others.
