Joaquin Phoenix gave a memorable performance in “Joker”. This important scene was improvised by the iconic actor.

Joaquin Phoenix has made a career impressive, with films such as “The Mentor” (2012), “Joker” (2019), “Walk the Line” (2005), “A Love Story” (2013), “Gladiator” (2000) and “Beau’s Afraid” (2023).

Among these and other films, the iconic Joaquin Phoenix proved to be a very versatile actor. To date, he has been appointed by four times at the Oscars – one nomination in the Best Supporting Actor category and three nominations in the Best Lead Actor category. In the end he only ended up winning a golden statuette, with “Joker”, by Todd Philips. At the beginning of 2023, a sequel was confirmed, “Joker: Folie à Deux”. Back to the lead role, Joaquin Phoenix has a very special companion in this new film, Harley QuinnInterpreted by Lady Gaga.

O film premieres in October this year and expectations are high. While we wait for sequelone of his colleagues in “Joker”, Leigh Gillrevealed that Joaquin Phoenix improvised this bright scene.

The freedom that Todd Phillips gave Joaquin Phoenix allowed the American actor do some of the best scenes in the film.

There is one scene in particular that is totally improvised and the person saying it is Leigh Gill. In the program Tattoo Talk with Gordon Jamesthe actor says, “the scene where he is fired and I am in the locker room with him, and he packs his things, and leaves, and then comes back and punches the clock on the wall, that was not written in the script” .

He adds, “then he left, and we were waiting for the Todd said cut, and Joaquin came back in and added the part where, he says, “I forgot to punch in”. And he starts knocking on a metal clock on the wall. Out of the blue. The sound was so loud.”
