The artist’s friend Naomi Akimoto passed away from cancer for which current medicine still has no cure. Even though she is told that she only has half a year to live, she wants to live this period to the fullest. Her mother recommends macrobiotic food, her boyfriend suggests a treatment that has not yet been scientifically proven and everyone begins to work together so that she can continue to live. A documentary manga about what it’s like to live and die from cancer, what it means and what to do when a hospital gives up on a patient.
Naomi Akimoto debuted in 1980 in the magazine “LaLa”, published by Hakusensha. His main works are “Ensemble” and “Nukunuku”. He has published more than 30 series, including long and short titles, and his hobby is golf. He currently draws cat and golf manga for several publishers.
