Demon Slayer 3 was the most watched anime of 2023

Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arcthe third season of the anime adaptation of the manga Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) by Koyoharu Gotougewas one of the great animes of 2023 and ended up becoming the most watched anime of 2023.

According to Videor the anime series Demon Slayer 3 was the most watched of 2023. On average, the anime series achieved 15.4 million viewers in Japan and reached a peak of 22.8 million viewers at its end.

A Aniplex and the studio Ufotable (Fate/Zero, Kara no Kyoukai, Katsugeki: Touken Ranbu) have already confirmed that in April 2024 we can expect the return of the anime Demon Slayer in the shape of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc and soon in the form of a 1-hour special.

A special that brings together the last episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc and the first episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc will debut in theaters in Japan and 140 other countries in February 2024.

The animation is from the studio Ufotable (Fate/Zero, Kara no Kyoukai, Katsugeki: Touken Ranbu), directed by Haruo Sotozaki (Tales of Zestiria the X, Tales of Symphonia the Animation) and the character design is by Akira Matsushima (Maria Watches Over Us, Tales of Zestiria the X).
