New year would be synonymous with new life, right? Well, in the world of fuel it seems like nothing is going to change, with the rollercoaster of price changes continuing every week.

What will change next week starting January 8th (Monday)? Well, it seems that Diesel will maintain its price, but Gasoline will increase almost residually.

Fuels: Diesel doesn’t change, but Gasoline goes up!

Therefore, next week changes prices just because, with Diesel remaining unchanged while Gasoline rises by around 0.5 cents. This means that Diesel will continue to be worth, on average, €1,567 per liter, while Simple Gasoline 95 rises to €1,648 per liter.

On average because these values take into account the prices of more than 2400 active stations in Portugal. As such, they do not take into account local promotional campaigns, card or receipt discounts, etc… As always, it is always up to you to find the best filling station for your car, and of course, your wallet.

However, it is worth highlighting that these prices already take into account the increase in “discounts” that the Government has been making to combat the increase in fuel prices over the last 2~3 years. (The current tax reduction is 25~26 cents between the two reference fuels).

First of all, what do you think about all this? Do you still care about these price changes? Or have you stopped being dependent on advertisements to get fuel when you need it? Share your opinion with us in the comments box below.
