Nina is an ordinary young woman who becomes the lead singer of the girl band in the series Togenashi Togeari. Every week a video highlighting one of the characters will be posted online.

With its premiere scheduled for April 5, 2024 (effectively the 6th at 00:30), the animation is from Toei Animationthe direction is Kazuo Sakai (Love Live! Sunshine!!, Mushi-Uta), the character design is by Nari Teshima and the CGI direction is by Mari Kondō It is Jae Hoon Jung. Music is the responsibility of Kenji Tamai (agehasprings, Sing “Yesterday” for Me, Samurai Flamenco).

Synopsis of Girls Band Cry

The main character drops out of high school in her second year and plans to enter university while working alone in Tokyo. A girl is betrayed by her friends and doesn’t know what to do. Another girl is abandoned by her parents and tries to survive in the city by doing part-time jobs. This world that disappoints us all the time. Nothing goes as planned. But we want something that we can continue to enjoy. We believe there is a place we belong. That’s why we sing.
