The first images of “Deadpool 3”, which officially becomes known as “Deadpool & Wolverine”, were revealed.
During the biggest sporting event in the United States, the Super Bowl, it is common to have some news about some of the films that are about to premiere. One of these new features was the first teaser for the third Deadpool film, a character made iconic by Ryan Reynolds.
It is already known that after “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”, where we saw Reynolds playing Wade Wilson, there was a huge campaign to have a film with Deadpool, something that was achieved in 2016 after footage with Reynolds was released .
The two films that have been released so far were a huge success for 20th Century Fox, which had the copyright to the X-Men characters, which also includes Deadpool, and the Fantastic Four prior to acquisition by the Disney in 2009.
Now, Deadpool and other characters from the universe X-Men make their triumphant entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, or MCU. This will be the first Marvel Studios film to be rated 17+.
For the studio, this film could be its salvation after the poor performance of some of the 2023 Marvel films, such as “The Marvels”, with Brie Larson, Zawe AshtonIman Vellani and Teyonah Parrisand “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” with Paul Rudd, Evangeline LillyMichael Douglas, Jonathan Majors and Katheryn Newton, only “Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3”, with Chris Pratt, Zoe SaldañaKaren Gillian and Will Poulter, saved the studio.
But how will Deadpool enter the MCU? The answer is Loki (Tom Hiddleston), not the god but the Disney + series. This is because the TVA, or Time Variance Authority, will come into action in “Deadpool & Wolverine” and will introduce the Marvel universe to Ryan Reynolds’ character.
In the first images of the film we begin with Wade Wilson’s birthday celebration, which is interrupted by the TVA, who want the antihero to be part of a mission. The history of Marvel Studios is shown there.
In addition to Ryan Reynolds, the cast includes Hugh Jackmanmarking the return of the actor as Wolverine, Emma Corrin (“The Crown”“A Homicide at the End of the World”), Matthew Macfadyen (“Succession”“Pride and Prejudice”, “Anna Karenina”), among many others.

Will you want to see this film? Although there is still no official date for Portuguese cinemas, the premiere is expected to be in July this year.
