Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket manga goes on hiatus due to health concerns

The mangaka Hiroyuki Tamakoshi (Boys Be…, Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket) announced that he will be putting his career on hiatus due to liver cancer, which means that his new manga Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket will go on hiatus.

Hiroyuki Tamakoshi revealed that the neoplasm has spread to several locations in the liver and that he will focus on its recovery. In September 2022 he revealed that he had liver cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy. At the time he continued to work in Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket who after a hiatus returned in July 2023.
