Red Art Games Details Triggerheart EXELICA Special Physical Editions

A Red Art Games detailed the Western physical editions of Triggerheart EXELICA to the Nintendo Switch which will become available in North America and Europe in 2024.

In North America, the game will be distributed by Video Games Plus in Standard and Special editions, while in Europe it will be the responsibility of Red Art Games in Standard, Deluxe and Collector’s editions.

North America

Special Edition (only 500 copies available through the Video Games Plus online store) for $54.99 with the following content:

  • A physical copy of the game.
  • A unique currency Triggerheart EXELICA.
  • A double poster.

Europe

Deluxe Edition (only 500 PEGI-rated copies, exclusive through the RedArtGames.com store) for €39.99 which includes:

  • A physical copy of the game with reversible cover art.
  • An exclusive cover inspired by one of the Japanese 128-bit versions of Triggerheart EXELICA.
  • A unique currency Triggerheart EXELICA.
  • A double poster.

Collector’s Edition (Only 500 PEGI-rated copies) for €69.99 with the following items:

  • A physical copy of the game with a reversible cover inspired by one of the Japanese versions of Triggerheart EXELICA.
  • CD of the original soundtrack by Triggerheart EXELICA.
  • An acrylic support.
  • A double XL poster.
  • The double poster of Deluxe Edition about the game.

Triggerheart Exelica was originally developed by Warashi and in 2006 it was released in arcades. The game was later released for SEGA Dreamcast in 2007, Xbox 360 in 2008, and for the Playstation 2 in 2009. The version for Xbox 360 It is the only version to have received worldwide release to date.

Trigger Heart Exelica is a “Shmup” that takes place in a distant alien galaxy. In this reality, biomechanical beings called Ver’mith led by the young Faintear begin to sow terror wherever they go. The planets’ inhabitants immediately awaken their secret weapons, Exelica and Crueltear, the biomechanical sisters of the Triggerheart project. However, while they were fighting the Ver’mith, an explosion caused a temporal rift and sucked the two androids and all the Ver’mith to planet Earth. Then begins the final battle on an unknown planet.
