Even for those who have had an iPhone for many years, there are some tools that can further improve the user experience.
O iPhone is a smartphone developed by Apple Inc., first launched in 2007. Since then, it has become one of the most popular electronic devices in the world, with more than 2 billion units sold. There is no doubt that we are facing an extraordinary technological device, full of functionalities little-known solutions that can significantly improve the user experience.
Whether you are a long-time user of these Apple smartphones or someone who has only recently picked up this brand of cell phones, you should know that there are some tools lesser known ones that are quite useful and interesting. So, it’s time to discover a list of five features that, in just a few steps and in just a few seconds, can improve the experience of iPhone users.
ENABLE BATTERY PERCENTAGE
It is one of the tools that disappeared when Face ID was implemented on the iPhone. Fortunately, iOS 16 reintroduced this functionality. However, the bad news is that – by definition – it is not activated. To do this, you have to go to Settings, click on Battery and activate the Battery Percentage option. This way, you will be able to see exactly how much battery you have left.
SET A CHARGING CEILING
Still in the same field as the battery, you should consider setting a charging limit. Click on Battery and Charging Status and then you will see the Charging Optimization option. Here, you can choose between Optimized Loading, 80% limit and None (older iPhones may not have the 80% Threshold option). Trying the 80% Threshold for a few weeks can significantly extend your battery life.
ACTIVATE THE TOUCH KEYBOARD
Within the Sounds and Touch menu, you will find a setting that should be default. Select Keyboard Feedback and adjust Sound and Touch options. Disable sounds to eliminate annoying clicks and enable Touch for a pleasant haptics when tapping the on-screen keyboard. This sensation provides better feedback than sounds, without disturbing those around you.
VISUAL LOOK UP IN PHOTOGRAPHS
The Info button (i) is the gateway to one of the functionalities most underrated on iOS – Visual Look Up. This feature uses Artificial intelligence to identify elements in the photograph and provide contextual information and research. If Visual Look Up identifies something in the image, you will see sparkles around the Info button. Click on it and then on “Search [objeto]”. It can identify various elements, such as food, insects, plants, animals, landmarks, books, albums, among others.
USE YOUR IPHONE AS A WEBCAM ON MAC
The possibility of transforming the iPhone on a webcam for Mac offers better video quality than most integrated cameras. All you have to do is go to Settings > General > AirPlay and Handoff, ensuring that the Continuity Chamber is activated.
With the same Apple ID on both devices, your iPhone will appear as a camera and microphone option in several video streaming apps on your Mac. Select it, unlock your iPhone, and give it permissions to use it as a camera. So you can now enjoy a high-quality wireless webcam, including features such as Center Framing, Portrait mode, Studio Light and Desktop View.
