Trailer reveals April premiere of the anime Chillin’ in Another World with Level 2 Super Cheat Powers

With this trailer the Overlap announced that the anime series adaptation of the novel will premiere in April 2024 Chillin’ in Another World with Level 2 Super Cheat Powers (Lv2 kara Cheat datta Moto Yūsha Kōho no Mattari Isekai Life) by Miya Kinojo. In addition to the promotional images that you can see below, it was also revealed that the ending theme is “Utopia Gaku-Gairon” (Introduction to Utopian Studies) by Dialogue+.

With animation by the studio JC Staff (Edens Zero) the direction is Yoshiaki Iwasaki (Hayate the Combat Butler, We Never Learn: BOKUBEN), the argument is Megumi Shimizu (Banished From The Heroes’ Party, My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!) and the character design is by Sōta Suwa (Combatants Will Be Dispatched!). Music is the responsibility of Kujira Yumemi (Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible, Reign of the Seven Spellblades) on Pony Canyon.

Chillin’ in Another World with Level 2 Super Cheat Powers (Lv2 kara Cheat datta Moto Yūsha Kōho no Mattari Isekai Life) began to be published in 2016 in Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let’s Become Novelists) and its 16th volume was released by Overlap October 25, 2023.

A manga adaptation by Itomachi It began publication in January 2019 and its 9th volume was released on October 25, 2023.

Synopsis for Chillin’ in Another World with Level 2 Super Cheat Powers

The Magical Kingdom of Klyrode summons hundreds of heroes from other worlds every year to fight in the war against the “Dark One” and his army of powerful demons. Banaza is one such hero, summoned from the Royal Capital Paluma, but something isn’t right – Banaza is just an ordinary merchant. He has no magic, no fighting ability and his stats are terrible. Worse still, an accident leaves him unable to return home!

Rejected as a hero and trapped in another world, abandoned in the far reaches of the kingdom by a cruel king who just wants him to go away, Banaza’s fate seems quite bleak. But what happens once the failed hero candidate finds himself with cheating super powers upon reaching level two?
