Great Pretender Collector’s Edition Revealed

A Anime Limited This “Deluxe Edition” of the original anime series will be released on March 12, 2024 Great Pretender for the Wit Studio (Attack on Titan / Vinland Saga). In addition to the 23 episodes, this collector’s edition will contain a 192-page art book, a mini-poster, 10 art cards, AMVs, and several animated bonuses.

With animation by Wit Studio (Attack on Titan / Vinland Saga) directed by Hiro Kaburagi (Hozuki’s Coolheadedness, My Little Monster, 91 Days), the argument is Ryota Kosawa (live-action Parasyte, Always: Sunset on Third Street), the character design is by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (Evangelion, FLCL), the music is by Yutaka Yamada (Tokyo Ghoul, Vinland Saga) and the production is by Maiko Okada.

Synopsis of Great Pretender

Makoto Edamura is supposedly Japan’s biggest swindler. Together with his partner Kudo, they try to trick a Frenchman in Asakusa, but are unexpectedly tricked. The Frenchman, who they tried to deceive, turns out to be Laurent Thierry, a “trusted man” of a much higher level, in control of the mafias. Edamura is yet to discover what fate awaits him, after getting involved in the Frenchman’s dirty jobs…!
