New Mahjong Soul anime announced

The game on your twitter Mahjong Soul (Jong-Tama or Jan-Tama/majsoul) from Cat Food Studio It is Yostar announced that a new anime is in production called Mahjong Soul Kan!! and debut in April 2024. You can see the announcement video above.

We have a new staff different from 2022 anime. The animation is from the studio Alke (who helped Scooter Films on the previous anime), the direction is by Kazuomi Koga (Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible) and the character design is by Ayumi Kurokawa (The God of High School),

Noriko Tsutsui returns as art director and is also responsible for background art, Yusuke Watanabe is the color designer, Tetsuya Nishimura is the director of photography, Jun’ichi Masunaga is the editor, Chikako Yokota is the sound director and Hinako Tsubakiyama is responsible for the music.

The cast is the same from what we have:

• Mariya Ise as Kaguya-hime
• Shinnosuke Tachibana as Hideki Akitomo
• Ami Koshimizu as Yui Yagi

The Chinese Cat Food Studio developed the online mahjong game and launched it in China in 2018. Yostar released the game in Japan as a browser game in April 2019. The game is also available as an app for iOS and Android devices. The game is free, but players can customize their characters and accessories with microtransactions.
