Season series from the creator of Downtown Abbey has already confirmed its return on HBO Max

HBO Max has already revealed that one of its most popular period series will return for a third season.

As one of streaming platforms most prestigious, HBO Max stands out for its vast number of series and movies that it offers in its catalogue, whether original or not.

Among his favorite series, there is one that has revealed itself as one of the favorites of the Portuguese public.

Premiered in January 2022, this popular period series was created by Julian Fellowesresponsible for the multi-award winning “Downton Abbey” (2010-2015).

In this new bet, the scriptwriter exchanges the noble families and great British mansions for the so-called “golden age” in the United States during the 19th century in the clash between the “new rich” and the aristocratic clans.

This HBO Max series depicts a period of great change in which many fortunes were won and lost, and in which opulent mansions occupied the entire length of Fifth Avenue, from the perspective of its protagonist Marian Brook (Louisa Jacobson), a young woman from a conservative family who embarks on a journey to try to infiltrate the richest family in the neighborhood, led by the ruthless mobster George Russell (Morgan Spector), his son Larry (Harry Richardson) and his ambitious wife Bertha (Carrie Coon), who faces difficulties in being accepted among the most powerful families.

In addition to the names already mentioned, “The Gilded Age” has a luxury castwhere the Taissa Farmiga Audra McDonald, Robert Sean Leonard or Nathan Lane, Donna Murphyy, Cynthia Nixon It is Christine Baranski.

Unlike other series, critical approval for this HBO Max production was growing. At the Rotten Tomatoes, the season premiered this year achieved 93% approval. In turn, the first is set at 79%.

Given these results, it is natural that HBO Max has already confirmed that the series will return with a third season.

From the costumes to production design and the performances, the series has captivated many people week after week. Together with our partners at Universal Televisionwe are thrilled to continue this great story for a third season.”

Erin Underhill, president of Universal Television adds, “There is so much more story to tell with “The Gilded Age.” We are delighted that HBO is offering fans another season of Julian Fellowes’ incredible storytelling. The cast and crew have put so much of their heart and soul into the last two seasons, and we are so proud that all of that hard work is paying off with another season.” Underhill also promises that audiences “will not wanting to miss what’s coming.”
