If you use Telegram then start the year with an update. I’m talking about Telegram version 10.5.0 which offers a new look for voice and video calls, as well as a revamped deletion animation that is now available on Android.

In this latest update, Telegram has redesigned the user interface for voice and video calls with new animations and a better overall look. Despite all this, users are also entitled to an increase in performance, as the new user interface consumes fewer resources.

Telegram explains:

“In this update, we’ve completely redesigned calls, adding new animations and beautiful backgrounds that change dynamically based on the state of the call. Ringing, active or closed. The new interface requires fewer resources than before, which means it saves battery and works better on older devices.

The announcement publication also states that call quality has been improved and that further improvements are planned in 2024.

Meanwhile, a new deletion animation that first debuted on the iOS version of Telegram is now coming to Android. This new feature, also called the “Thanos Snap” effect, is apparently more energy efficient.

Finally, Telegram is also improving bots even further in this update. So they are now able to react to messages, work with quoted messages, send replies and much more.
