The Oscar finalists are now known in ten categories, including International Film and Documentary and there is a Portuguese film among those selected.
A Film Academy has just revealed the finalists to the Oscars in the following 10 categories: Best Soundtrack, Best Original Song, Best Documentary, Best International FilmBest Sound, Best Characterization, Best Visual Effects and the Short Film categories (Live-action / Animation and Documentary).
With five mentions, “Barbie” is the big highlight, but the pre-list also brings good news for films like “Ferrari” It is “Napoleon”.
As expected, Portugal failed to be mentioned in the International Film category. Still, for the second consecutive yearthere is a Portuguese project that could be nominated for the Oscars, it is the Live-action short film “An Avocado Seed”.
The Oscar nominees will be revealed on January 23, 2023.
