There’s good news for “House of the Dragon” fans

News is emerging about “House of the Dragon”, the prequel to “Game of Thrones”, especially about the future of the series.

“House of the Dragon” is based on the book by George RR Martin, “Fire & Blood”which takes place some 170 years before the events of “Game of Thrones” chronicling the story of House Targaryen at the height of its power and the beginning of the decline of the house of the dragon that changed Westeros forever.

The first season of the series introduced the main players involved in the civil war that almost destroyed all dragons and much of the kingdom. All because part of the court did not accept a woman as Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. The season ended with the death of Lucerys Targaryen, one of Rhaenyra Targaryen’s children from her first marriage.

Following the events of the book, much blood will be spilled and known parts of “Game of Thrones” will return, like Winterfell and The Wall. Since Jace Targaryen, Rhaenyra’s heir, was sent to the North to form an alliance with the House Stark.

The cast included Paddy Considine as Viserys I Targaryen, Matt Smith like Daemon Targaryen, Emma D’Arcy like Rhaenyra Targaryen, Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, Rhys Ifan like Otto Hightower, Steve Toussaint as Corlys Velaryon, Eve Best as Rhaenys Targaryen, Fabien Frankel with Criston Cole, Harry Collett as Jacaerys ‘Jace’ Targaryen, Tom Glynn-Carney as Aegon II Targaryen and Ewan Mitchell as Aemond Targaryen.

For the second season, the following will join the cast: Simon Russell Beale as Sir Simon Strong; Freddie Fox as Gwayne Hightower; Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers; It is Abubakar Salim as Alyn of Hull.

In terms of news, it is known that filming for the second season of “House of the Dragon” has already finished, which is possible because this project was one of the few not to be affected by the strike of writers and actors because the majority of the team and cast did not was part of the American unions. And now, thanks to the confirmation of George R. R. Martinplans for the third season are already being worked on and he will be involved.

However, it is also known that the series will have four or more seasons, according to information provided by the head of HBO Drama Francesca Orsi, to tell the story well and not be rushed. Something that happened with the last two seasons of “Game of Thrones” and fans were not very happy about it.
