Toei Animation plans events around the world to celebrate the debut of Dragon Ball Daima

In the event Manga Barcelona 2023 what happened in Spain we learn that the Toei Animation is planning a big year for fans of Dragon Ball.

At the Manga Barcelona 2023 the producer Yosuke Asama from the Toei Animation in Europe stated:

In 2024, Dragon Ball will turn 40 and Toei Animation plans to hold several events to celebrate the release of Dragon Ball Daima around the world.

We can deduce two things from this statement, the first is that the 40th anniversary of Dragon Ball is a huge milestone in itself and something that Toei Animation will celebrate big. And the second is that the bet on the success of Dragon Ball Daimathe upcoming anime series from Dragon Ballis very large with the Toei Animation betting on events around the world.

The direction of Dragon Ball Daima it’s from Yoshitaka Yashima (animation direction for Dragon Ball Super, Digimon franchise) and Aya Komaki (direction of the One Piece series, direction of Marie & Gali episodes), the character design is by Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru (Dragon Ball Z, Digimon franchise) and the argument is Yuuko Kakihara (Digimon Adventure tri., Urusei Yatsura 2022, Cells at Work!). The creator of Dragon Ball, Akira Toriyamais credited for the story and character designs of the new anime.

It was confirmed that the veteran Masako Nozawa returns to interpret Son Goku.

The anime series Dragon Ball Super was shown from July 2015 to March 2018, consisting of 131 episodes. The anime film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero premiered in Japan in June 2022.
