Xbox may be developing its own Joy-Con-style controllers

You Joy-Con are one of the most visible characteristics of Nintendo Switch since its launch in 2017 and several companies have tried to imitate its style, the most recent example being Lenovo Legion Go. But according to a recent patent, Microsoft appears to be thinking about creating a command with the same characteristics.

A patent was submitted in December 2023 and the Microsoft appears to be developing new controls that can be used on multiple surfaces. The controllers in the patent example look a lot like the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con, although with the button layout characteristic of Xbox controllers.

These controllers can probably be connected to devices via Bluetooth and create a portable device similar to Nintendo Switch.
