The official twitter of the anime series adaptation of the novel The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess (Hikikomori Kyūketsuki no Monmon) by Kotei Kobayashi revealed that today’s episode is a summary and that episode 9 will be shown next week.

The animation is from the studio Project No.9 (Ro-Kyu-Bu! SS, Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki, Higehiro), directed by Tatsuma Minamikawa (Fire Force 2), the script is by Keiichiro Ochi (My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax) and the character design is by Tomoyuki Shitaya (Blue Period).

The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess (Hikikomori Kyūketsuki no Monmon) began publication in January 2020. In December 2021 riichu started launching in Monthly Big Gangan a manga adaptation.

Synopsis for The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess

Cloistered vampire Terakomari, or Komari for short, wakes from her sleep to discover that she has been promoted to army commander! What happens is that your new squad has a reputation for being violently insubordinate. And although Komari was born into a prestigious vampire family, her hatred of blood made her the picture of mediocrity – skeletal, uncoordinated, and inept at magic. With all the odds stacked against her, will the help of her trusty maid be enough for this recluse to stumble her way to success?
