Recently awarded an Emmy, Elton John became the 19th artist to achieve EGOT status, a highly coveted set of awards.

In 1987, Elton John was awarded a Grammy for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group, thus beginning the race for the most important entertainment awards. ELTON JOHN’S FANTASTIC CAREER
As the son of a trumpet player, Elton John began studying music at just seven years of age, and immediately stood out, which led him to win a scholarship to the British Academy of Music.
