Anime The Magical Girl and The Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies will premiere in July 2024

The official website for the manga’s anime adaptation The Magical Girl and The Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies (Katsute Mahou Shoujo to Aku wa Tekitai shiteita) by Cocoa Fujiwara In addition to this promotional image, he announced that the premiere will take place in July 2024, the summer anime season.

With animation by the studio Bones (Mob Psycho, My Hero Academia, Bungou Stray Dogs), directed by Akiyo Oohashi (Umibe no Étranger, Given: Uragawa no Sonzai, Sakura Capsule), the script is by Yuniko Ayana (Nanatsu no Taizai, Given, Bakuman, Koi to Uso), the character design and animation direction is by Haruko Iizuka (Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi, Horimiya, Sugar Apple Fairy Tale, Kud Wafter) and the soundtrack is the responsibility of MAYUKO (Buta no Liver wa Kanetsu Shiro, Ousama Ranking, Hataraku Saibou).

The manga tells the story of Mira, the cunning mastermind behind an evil organization that invades and destroys everything in its path. Her sharp and strategic intellect catapulted him to the top of the hierarchy of this nefarious organization. One day, everything changes when Byakuya Mimori, a magical girl with the power of pure magic and bravery in her heart, enters the scene. Byakuya Mimori decides to face the organization, challenging its evil plans and defending what is right. Mira is surprised by this courageous opposition. However, instead of feeling anger or rejection, Mira experiences something unexpected: love at first sight.
