First teaser trailer for Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction anime revealed

The official website for the two anime film adaptation of the manga Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction in Home Asano (author of Boa Noite Punpun) has posted this first teaser trailer online. As we previously reported, the first film will premiere on March 22nd and the second on April 19th, 2024. Below you can see a poster.

In the video the characters are presented Kadode Koyama Interpreted by Lilas Ikutathe vocalist of YOASOBI (under the name “Ikura”), and Ouran Nakagawaalso known as Ontarioperformed by the singer year (This is his first anime role). You can see the seiyuu in the photo below.

With animation by Production +h. the direction is Tomoyuki Kurokawa (Psychic Detective Yakumo, Break of Dawn, Dragonar Academy), the argument is Reiko Yoshida (A Silent Voice, Violet Evergarden, Tamako Market) and the character design is by Nobutake Ito (The Tatami Galaxy, Kaiba, Kemonozume). The art direction is Mika Nishimura (assistant director of Dorohedoro) and the music is the responsibility of Taro Umebayashi (Space Dandy, Yuri!!! on Ice).

Synopsis for Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction

When you look at the sky, what do you see? A blue sky? The Liberty? A hopeful future? Tokyoites see none of this. Instead, a sinister alien mothership hovers above them, swallowing up the cityscape. Three years ago, they arrived. The arrival of the “invaders” triggered the greatest war humanity has ever faced, one that threatened to end the world. The Japanese government rushed to fight the invaders. The weapons were mass-produced, sparking controversy and peace movements.

That day, everything changed. And yet nothing has changed. Koyama Kadode and Nakagawa Ouran spend their last days as they always have: going to school, playing with their friends and doing what any carefree student would do. As they grow up, they learn what it really means to be an adult, in a world where adults seem to be demons who only deceive and destroy. They discover that the real threat to humanity is not the invaders, but humanity itself.
