Do you still remember the time when all the reference manufacturers in the Android world had a “Lite” version on the market, in order to be able to offer a little of what their most expensive and premium device brought to the market, at a lower price? low?

For a long time, it was a winning strategy! With many consumers opting for the Lite model, in order to get their hands on a beautiful, well-built device, but of course, with some obvious compromises on the day-to-day performance side.

However, it is a strategy that eventually ended up disappearing, as consumers increased their level of demand. This is exactly why it is strange to look at Honor ready to invest in a Lite model in 2024. What has changed?

Honor will once again bet on the Lite strategy! Will it be a good idea?

Honor, Magic6, Lite

Therefore, Honor now presents the new Magic6 Lite for the Portuguese market, a device that appears on the shelves with a design typical of a high-end device, a high quality screen, and of course, a rear module capable of incredible image captures .

It is one of the first devices from Honor’s highest range to arrive in Europe, a range that will be led by the already very popular Honor Magic6 Pro. It is also a device that seems to want to take the “Lite” nomenclature to new levels.

Technical specifications

  • SoC: Qualcomm SM6450 Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 (4nm)
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Storage: 128GB
  • Screen: AMOLED, 1B colors, 120Hz, 1200 nits, 6.78”, 1220 * 2652 // 19.5:9 ratio (~431 ppi)
  • Battery: 5300mAH

We are therefore talking about a device that falls into the mid-range, but that invests heavily in construction quality, durability, and the quality of the rear camera module. After all, we have Ultra-Rebound and Anti-Drop technologies, which in turn means that the Magic6 Lite’s screen takes advantage of cushioning technology using recently developed materials, which increases its shock absorption capacity up to 1.2 times, even in falls greater than 1.5m, from any angle.

In addition, we have a triple camera system, where a 180MP sensor leads two other sensors of 5MP and 2MP. This means high-resolution photos, as well as up to 3x optical zoom.

As for price and availability, the Honor Magic 6 Lite arrives in Portugal at 399e, in Emerald Green and Midnight Black.
