Nicole Kidman returns with new Prime Video miniseries in 2024

Nicole Kidman is back on television for one of Prime Video’s big bets for 2024.

Commanded by Lulu Wang (“The Farewell“), this is a project based on the novel “The Expatriates” in Janice Y.K. Lee which will show the lives of three American women – Margaret (Kidman), Hilary (Sarayu Blue) and Mercy (Ji-young Yoo) – whose lives intersect after a sudden family tragedy.

Set in Hong Kong in 2014, the series will question privilege and explore what happens when the line between victimization and culpability blurs.

In the cast, there will also be Brian Tee as Clarke, Margaret’s husband, and Jack Huston as David, Hilary’s husband.

Consisting of six episodes, the miniseries is scheduled to premiere on January 26, 2024, with new episodes every week.
